Dr Patricia Ortiz
As an AHPRA-registered Osteopath and PACFA-registered Psychotherapist with extensive experience in PTSD and CPTSD, my approach to osteopathy is deeply holistic. I don’t subscribe to a “one size fits all” methodology. Instead, I tailor my treatment to each individual's unique needs, drawing on a variety of techniques, including biomechanical and structural approaches, spinal manipulation, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, dry needling, and more.
I prioritize gentleness in my practice, typically combining several approaches based on the specific presentation and needs of the patient. My particular interest in childhood trauma stems from its profound impact on a person’s overall health and well-being. In my osteopathic practice, I work through the musculoskeletal system to support the recovery and healing of the whole person, addressing not just the physical, but also the emotional and psychological aspects of health.
Being both an osteopath and an experienced psychotherapist enables me to seamlessly integrate physical and mental health approaches, providing a comprehensive, patient-centered path to healing.
